Filipa is the Chief Operating Officer at Interfaith Community Services in San Diego, where she leads operations across behavioral health, housing, and social services. She brings 24 years of experience building and scaling programs that serve people facing some of life’s hardest challenges. She started her career in direct service, working alongside individuals and families experiencing homelessness and behavioral health crises. That foundation never left her. It shapes how she leads, how she thinks about systems, and what she believes organizations owe the communities they serve.
Today, Filipa is a strategic operator. She bridges public agencies, community partners, and internal teams to deliver integrated, outcomes-driven programs. She knows how to navigate complex funding environments, build durable partnerships, and translate policy into action on the ground. She holds a Master of Public Administration.
What makes Filipa a natural fit for the Coterie is not just her resume. It is her orientation. She is a builder who leads with purpose. She is the kind of executive who makes everyone in the room better, which is exactly who we want around this table.
